    Raptor Liner

My Jeep isn't my daily driver so I don't mind taking the time to do the prep work. I plan on going the outside as well if the inside turns out good.

What is your old ratio? 3.50? Current tire size?

I’ve read good reviews on Raptor. Biggest thing with any DIY kit is the prep work. They will also never be as durable as professional installs such as Line-X due to difference of chemical make-up & method of spraying.

Welcome! Only a couple lurking here. Sadly facebook has almost killed Forums. But I refuse to throw in the towel. Please share the word! I have some decals available, message me if interested. Be sure to start a build thread too!

Had a change of plan. Gonna pickup a d35 and d30 with 373 gears and call it good. Should save 1100 after all said and done. I'll put ball joints and new tie rod ends on the d30 probably put u joints in the axle shafts. I'll put in rough country front upper adjustable control arms to match the rest of my control arms while I have the front end out. Sent from my XT1635-01 using Tapatalk

Thanks. Looking forward to hopefully getting tied in to some trail riding info and maybe some tech help as I start to tackle more projects on the Jeep.

Cool thanks. I like the idea of a spray on kit, no particular reason why. Maybe because I just finished painting my garage and I don't want to see another paint roller for a long long time.

I know plenty using the Herculiner roll on kits. They hold up well.

Looks like it's going to to run about 1600 to regear. Mike at Advantage in Salem is gonna do it. My parts are 615 shipped he figured 1000 for labor on the install and said that was figured high and it should be less. I guess I will find out in a few weeks. Sent from my XT1635-01 using Tapatalk

I'm prepping to rip all my carpet out and get my Jeep interior bed lined. Has anyone in here used a DIY liner kit on their rig? Something like the Raptor Liner kits you can get on Amazon. There's lots of YouTube videos of people spraying vehicles with it but I'm curious how many of those ever see any off road action. I'd much rather do it myself than pay someone too much. My plan is to do the interior first and see how that goes and if I like it then I'll repeat on the exterior.

Hi everyone. I'm Doug and I just wanted to take a second to introduce myself. I stumbled across this forum looking for some Jeep trails in Virginia. I moved to Amissville from Baltimore back in February and now that everything is settled from the move I'm ready to get back out on some trails. I'm active military and spent about 10 years in Colorado. I drive a 2010 2 door Jeep JK that's way too clean right now. Thanks for including me in the forum. Cheers Doug

Can’t think of shop name but tech was Chuck at a shop in salem. Maybe the one you mentioned? Be prepared to pay though... gear setup is time intensive.

Looking to regear my Grand. Does anybody know who can do it? I have asked a couple of people and they say Certified Truck on 8th street here in Salem. Sent from my XT1635-01 using Tapatalk

Finally got around to scrubbing out & pressure washing the block. Started assembly with my new Edelbrock Cam, Clevite77 bearings & reinstalled the crank. Need to torque the main caps. Then check ring gaps, install rings, pistons with new clevite bearings... and so on.

Shenandoah Machine did my radius arms, drilled & tapped up a size to 1/2x13. Install went along smooth from here minus the fact the bushing sleeve in the upper trackbar mount was siezed to the bolt. Some cutting & welding required!
  23. Selling a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee Rear-end Axle (Dana 35, 373 Ratio) for $375 if anyone is interested. Located in Bedford Virginia but am willing to drive up to an hour away.

Sadly... no. Dropped off both arms & caps at Harman’s Machine Shop, should be ready in the morning
