Wasnt sure what to call this build to be honest. Then i remembered what it was like 18 years ago when I bought my first Jeep. I was pooring over all those Jeep catalogs thinking what I would build if i could afford all those top shelf parts I was drooling over. . . so it seemed fitting. LOL

I met my friend Buddy through another forum a few years ago.

Long story short he had an idea so he bought a brand new Scrambler tub and the first TDK frame.

Some 6 years later, a few different shops, and alot of headache later this is what he had.

All sealed up clocked and back on the trans. Final length from face of case to face of adaptor ? 7.5" thats only 3" more than what I started with!

Gotta start fabbing the trans mount brackets tomorrow and button up vents etc on this.

Fuel system and brake lines next.

More to come!

Sorry guys for the long over due for updates.

Boring tech stuff. Pulled the 91 - 95 HO pump for some mods to feed the 6.0.

Rewinding to my 5.0 Mustang days . . . dont judge me! :rolleyes-1::)

This is a simple Walbro style 225 pump.

100_0688.jpg

This is a shot of a stock pump next to a Saab style 300 pump. Same fittings and alot more flow 225 vs 300 and alot quieter!

A few simple mods will get you here. For the most its plug and play.

Went with these new LS manifolds from Hooker. For an LS swap into a Jeep these are the trick!

Exhaust is done tucked up nice and tight to keep it away from the rocks.

We coated the exhaust in VHT you can see the before and after in the last 2 pics.

Didnt like how the holes for the tire carrier made the rear unsymetrical.

Marked out plans on what to fill weld and where.

We all went over to JWs and body work thrash day for 14 hrs. Got alolt done with a small army of help.

Fill welded the holes drilled and counter sunk new ones as planned to make them symetrical.

The PSC armor is cut on a flat plane then bent to the radius of the tub.

This always creates some abnormalities around the fuel filler and tail light openings.

I knocked the worst of it down with a flap wheel then using a guide rounded the radius till it was where i wanted.

New hood didnt fit worth a crap so we found a used one and massaged out the "character it gained over the last couple decades.

A huge thanks to JW,John,Brent,Spanky,Brian, and Harold for all the help!
